Aubuchon Company Sends Hurricane Relief to Charlotte Motor Speedway

October 17, 2024, Westminster, MA – In the wake of devastating hurricanes affecting the Southeast, the Aubuchon Company took action to support relief efforts. The company added supplies such as cases of bottled water and gas cans to a semi-truck traveling over 800 miles to the Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina. The supplies aimed to provide essential resources to communities impacted by the storms.

The delivery was made by Garrick Carriers, a trusted partner in logistics. The truck driver shared the reception upon arrival at the speedway, explaining that the truck was unloaded immediately and smaller vehicles were promptly loaded to transport supplies to affected areas. He described how the facility's staff expressed astonishment at the sight of a fully loaded semi-truck arriving from Massachusetts. This was Charlotte Motor Speedway’s first complete semi-truckload and they couldn’t believe it came all the way down from Massachusetts.

The contribution stood out, as the truck was full of gas cans, a resource in particularly high demand. Local donors had only been able to provide one or two gas cans at a time, so the volume sent by the Aubuchon Company made a substantial impact. The team at the speedway planned to fill the cans with fuel before distributing them to those in need.

The relief supplies were selected based on urgent needs reported from the storm-impacted regions. Clean drinking water is a critical necessity following natural disasters, and fuel is essential for generators, transportation, and other emergency uses. By supplying these specific items, the Aubuchon Company played a role in helping restore normalcy and aid in the recovery process.

Garret Fortier, owner of Garrick Carriers, captured the spirit of the mission saying “We really feel as if we did something worth doing!” The staff’s sentiment is a testament to the power of collective efforts during times of need. The gratitude from everyone at the Charlotte Motor Speedway reinforced the value of the donation, emphasizing how meaningful it is to receive substantial aid from a company hundreds of miles away.

Efforts like these demonstrate how businesses can make a difference, not just within their local communities but across state lines, reaching people who need help the most. As the affected areas begin to recover, support from organizations like the Aubuchon Company will continue to be crucial.

This delivery to the Charlotte Motor Speedway is a reminder that even in the face of disasters, community spirit can drive powerful actions. The Aubuchon Company remains committed to doing its part in serving those who depend on them; embodying the values that have guided the company since 1908.

For those looking to help, consider donating to local relief organizations, providing supplies, or volunteering time. Every act of kindness adds up, just as this delivery showed that a single truckload can make a big difference!
